Yesterday, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister A. Atayev and a UNESCO delegation headed by the Director of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education Tao Zhang.
During the meeting, the political importance of strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNESCO was emphasized, which corresponds to the country's active participation in international initiatives aimed at developing modern educational technologies in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in such important areas as digitalization of the education system, the introduction of innovative technologies and improving the professional level of teachers.
UNESCO has proposed new areas of cooperation: development of educational infrastructure; development of teachers' skills in the field of artificial intelligence; application of artificial intelligence technologies in the assessment process in the education system; establishment of cooperation within the framework of the Lifelong Learning programme, including the implementation of educational programmes for adults; and the introduction of intelligent bot systems in the work of higher education institutions.
In addition, UNESCO representatives proposed expanding opportunities for cooperation in promoting healthy lifestyles among young people, developing healthy habits among schoolchildren, and strengthening relationships between parents and children. These measures are aimed at further strengthening the country's human capital by ensuring the commitment of the younger generation to a healthy lifestyle.
