The National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan has updated its data on the demographic situation in the country. As of August 28, the permanent population of Uzbekistan exceeded 38 million people. This is evidenced by the data published on the official website of the committee.
Among them, 18 863 202 women and 19 136 803 men live in the republic.
It is noted that as of July 1, the population of Uzbekistan was 37 859 795 people.
The population is distributed by gender as follows:
- Men: 19 136 803 people
- Women: 18 863 202 people
Thus, men make up a slight majority in the country's population structure.
