From August 25 to 29, 2025, the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan, with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is conducting specialized advanced training courses on digital transformation for representatives of the public and private sectors.
The training events are held within the framework of the project to develop the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy and the State Program of Turkmenistan for 2026-2028. The courses are attended by about 30 representatives of various ministries and departments, as well as entrepreneurs, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses and startup managers.
The training program covers key areas of digital development, including digitalization of public administration, development of digital strategies, ensuring cybersecurity, data management and studying international experience of digitalization.
The classes are conducted by UNDP international expert on digital transformation Aare Laponin. The organizers note that the courses are aimed at expanding the possibilities of mutually beneficial cooperation in the implementation of the Concept and State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy, as well as the creation and development of a sustainable digital economy in Turkmenistan.
