Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Pakistan's Additional Secretary for West Asia and Afghanistan, Syed Ali Asad Gillani. This was reported by the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The diplomats noted the fruitful nature of the partnership within the framework of international and regional organizations.
Particular attention was paid to trade and economic cooperation, which occupies a priority place on the agenda of Turkmen-Pakistani relations. The parties emphasized the importance of regular dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries and expressed interest in strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.
Following the meeting, the diplomats agreed to continue work on developing transport and energy connectivity between Turkmenistan, Pakistan and other countries in the region.
