The Republic of Korea is interested in developing cooperation with Turkmenistan in various fields. This was stated by Prime Minister Kim Min-seok during a conversation with Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan Begench Durdyev on the sidelines of the international conference on carbon neutrality and green development in Seoul, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
As noted in the department's report, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan took part in the opening ceremony of the conference of global cooperation on carbon neutrality and green development. On the sidelines of the event, Durdyev held a brief meeting with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
During the conversation, the Turkmen diplomat conveyed greetings from the leadership of Turkmenistan to the head of the South Korean government and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
“The Korean side expressed gratitude for the greetings and warm wishes and noted its great interest in developing mutually beneficial relations and cooperation with the countries of Central Asia, and in particular with Turkmenistan, in various sectors,” the statement said.
At the opening ceremony of the conference, Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Kim Min-seok introduced the participants to the government's program to create a specialized industrial complex to increase the use of renewable energy sources, achieve carbon neutrality and accelerate the transition to green energy.
