About 50 young enthusiasts from all over Turkmenistan took part in the “Robot Sumo” competition, which was held in Ashgabat on the final day of the international exhibition and fair “Kids Expo: Everything for Children”.
As reported by Turkmenistan: Golden Age, the competition was held in an individual format: each participant presented their own robot, assembled independently, in a special arena. Similar to traditional Japanese sumo wrestling, the main goal of each robot was to push the opponent out of the arena. The robot battles demonstrated not only technical skills, but also the strategic thinking of young designers.

Based on the results of the tournament, the winners were announced.
1st place - Alihan Akgayev, a student of the Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary Comprehensive School named after A.S. Pushkin.
2nd place - Rozymyrat Yagshymuradov, a student of secondary school No. 13 with in-depth study of foreign languages in Ashgabat.
3rd place - Ayhan Karyagdyev, a student of school No. 18 in Ashgabat.
The tournament was organized jointly by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the private enterprise "Döwrebap Maslahat". The winners and prize winners were awarded memorable gifts from the organizers, the source notes.
