Following the trilateral summit meeting with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a ceremony was held to sign a number of important bilateral documents, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The signed documents cover a wide range of areas of cooperation and are intended to strengthen economic, transport and cultural ties between the three states of the region. Among them:
- Memorandum of Understanding between the State Service "Türkmenhowaýollary" and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the further development of international air traffic;
- Protocol on the establishment of sister city relations between the city of Arkadag (Turkmenistan) and the city of Fizuli (Republic of Azerbaijan);
- Memorandum of Understanding between the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the development of cooperation in the field of shipbuilding;
- Protocol on the development of cooperation in the field of civil aviation between the State Service "Türkmenhowaýollary" and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- Agreement on cooperation between the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan and the Joint Stock Company "Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange";
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of transport and logistics cooperation.
