The national team of Turkmenistan in Kyokushinkai karate has left for the capital of Uzbekistan to participate in the Central Asian Cup, which will be held from August 18 to 20 in Tashkent.
The strongest athletes of the region will compete in the tournament. These competitions are of particular importance for Turkmen karatekas, as they serve as an important preparatory stage before the world championship, which will be held in the Japanese city of Maebashi from November 28 to 31, 2025.
The Turkmen delegation is headed by Meylis Pashakuliyev. The team includes 40 athletes of various age categories and three coaches. The team consists of both young promising athletes and experienced athletes.
According to the head of the delegation, all team members have carefully prepared for the upcoming tournament with the aim of worthily representing Turkmenistan at regional Kyokushinkai karate competitions.
