A representative delegation of musicians from Turkmenistan arrived in Moscow to participate in the Russian-Turkmen concert “Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood”, consisting of: Gurbanmyrat Bayjikov (gijak), Aydar Batayarov (violin), Bahram Dolyev (violin), Elman Nasyrov (viola), Kakageldy Hojalekov (cello) and Lachin Hudayberdyeva (dutar).

Within the framework of the cultural program, Turkmen musicians visited the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery, the venue of the “Sounds of Dutar” festival, and also took familiarization walks around Moscow.

On August 14, the Scientific and Creative Center “Musical Cultures of the World” organized a meeting of conservatory teachers with Gurbanmyrat Bayjikov and Lachin Hudayberdyeva.

The musicians gave a presentation on the manufacturing technology and acoustic characteristics of national instruments – gijak and dutar, demonstrating their sound. Elena Osipova, associate professor of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva, took part in the presentation. She is not only a specialist in the field of academic music, but also a talented teacher, under whose guidance several scientific works on Turkmen folk music were created.
The concert "Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood" will take place today at 18:00 within the walls of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky. The event is considered a significant event in the context of strengthening international cultural ties.
