The State Council of the People's Republic of China has decided to introduce a new visa category for young foreign specialists in science and technology. The corresponding decree was signed by Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang, Xinhua reports.
According to the document, a K visa for young scientific and technical specialists will be added to China's visa system. The innovation is part of the amendments to the Regulations on the Management of Entry and Exit of Foreign Nationals.
To obtain a K visa, applicants must meet the qualification requirements set by the competent Chinese departments and provide the necessary supporting documents.
The regulation will take effect on October 1, 2025.
