Turkmenistan became the second in terms of the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan in January-June 2025. This is evidenced by data from the National Statistics Committee of the Republic, the “Interfax” agency reports.
According to statistics, 783,7 thousand foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes in the first half of this year. This is 255,1 thousand people, or 48,3%, more than the same period in 2024.
Russia remains the leader in terms of tourist arrivals – 166,6 thousand people. Turkmenistan ranks second with 123 thousand tourists. Kazakhstan closes the top three with 77,7 thousand travelers.
The top ten countries in terms of tourist flow also included Kyrgyzstan (71,6 thousand tourists), Tajikistan (49,1 thousand), China (39,1 thousand), Türkiye (29,3 thousand), India (22 thousand), Italy (18,6 thousand) and South Korea (14,9 thousand people).
