The Avaza National Tourist Zone in western Turkmenistan welcomes about 150 thousand visitors annually, becoming an important tourism destination in the country, Anadolu Agency reports.
The resort is located in the Balkan province, about 25 minutes' drive from the city of Turkmenbashy on the Caspian Sea coast. The tourist center attracts attention with its snow-white architecture, well-kept streets and developed coastal infrastructure.
The resort area, writes Anadolu, is famous for its sandy beaches, crystal clear sea water and developed infrastructure for recreation and health improvement. Tourists stay in luxury hotels all year round, visit parks and entertainment areas.
