Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov met with Pakistan's Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb to discuss bilateral cooperation. During the talks, the diplomat presented an invitation to the Pakistani side to participate in the Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF-2025), the Business Recorder website reports.
The meeting on Monday focused on expanding trade ties, commercial and investment cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Aurangzeb noted Pakistan's interest in developing relations with Turkmenistan, recalling the high-level ministerial meetings held last year.
Movlamov described Pakistan as an important trade and investment partner of Turkmenistan, as well as a key transit hub for regional trade.
The parties discussed the prospects for creating joint ventures in the energy, transport and construction sectors.
The invitation to the forum was extended on behalf of the Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Mammetguly Astanagulov. The event is scheduled for September 18-19 in Ashgabat.
