An unusual art installation dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh thinker Abai Kunanbayuly was presented in the shopping and entertainment center of Astana. The portrait of the poet was assembled from three thousand Rubik's cubes, "24KZ" reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the capital's akimat.

The large-scale work measuring 3 meters in height and 2 meters in width was completed by speedcuber teams in just 5 hours. The initiator of the project, Alikhan Yertursynov, noted that the Rubik's cube in this context became a work of art that unites logic and creativity.

“In this way, we wanted to convey national identity using modern methods,” explained the author of the idea.

Within the framework of the cultural program "World of Abai" poetry evenings and creative performances were held for two days. The event was attended by thousands of people who highly appreciated the creative approach of the youth and showed deep respect for the national heritage.

The organizers consider this project a new step in popularizing Abai's legacy. The main goal of the initiative is to help the younger generation better understand national identity and traditional values.

Let us remind that in October 2024, a solemn ceremony of opening of the monument to Abai Kunanbayev was held in Ashgabat in the capital's "Lachyn" park. The event was attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Jalk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
