President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Vice President of the Republic of Gambia Mohammed Jallow, who arrived to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
As reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of friendly and mutually beneficial relations with various countries, including African states. In this regard, the head of state confirmed the country's readiness to develop political-diplomatic and trade-economic relations with the Republic of Gambia.
The President noted that during the visit, the guest will get acquainted with the country's economic achievements and hold meetings with official representatives of Turkmenistan, wishing the visit a success.
The head of state declared his readiness to support proposals for the development of relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Gambia.
The Vice President of Gambia, noting the importance of cultural and humanitarian ties, announced his country's great interest in cooperation with Turkmenistan in the field of education.
At the end of the meeting, which took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and openness, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Vice President of the Republic of Gambia Mohammed Jallow confirmed their intention to continue cooperation within the framework of common principles and expressed their best wishes to each other.
