On August 6, the LLDC3 Youth Forum in Avaza hosted a side event, “Youth Policy in Action,” dedicated to strengthening regional leadership and strategic investments for landlocked countries.
The meeting brought together representatives of government bodies, the UN system, leaders of youth organizations and civil society. The event was a continuation of the Central Asian Youth Dialogue, which began in Arkadag and was further developed at the UN headquarters in New York in April 2025.
Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Azat Atayev emphasized the need to channel youth potential into creative industries with high added value. Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Central Asia Kakha Imnadze proposed creating an Academy of Preventive Diplomacy to build mutual understanding among young people.
Participants called on LLDC countries to empower youth as strategic partners in national development, align education with labour market needs, and integrate the younger generation into innovation and entrepreneurship.
Following the meeting, the participants expressed their willingness to continue the dialogue at future international venues so that the youth of LLDC countries can play a key role in shaping the decisions that determine their future.
