President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which is taking place in Avaza. This was reported by the press service of the Kazakh leader.
The President of Kazakhstan expressed gratitude to the head of the Turkmen state for the invitation to take part in the forum.
During the meeting, the parties particularly noted that this event is an important platform for exchanging views on current issues related to the situation of landlocked developing countries and developing practical solutions. Issues related to strengthening cooperation in the trade, economic, energy, transport and logistics sectors were also discussed.
The parties once again confirmed their commitment to the comprehensive development of the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
The Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries is taking place in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone in the city of Turkmenbashy on the Caspian Sea.
