The President of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Vasily Tsereteli sent a greeting to the participants of the Russian-Turkmen concert "Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood" in Moscow, dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust. Below is the full text of the greeting.
"I am sincerely glad to welcome the organizers, participants and guests of the Russian-Turkmen concert "Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood" in the famous Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky. I would like to note the special atmosphere created by the art exhibition, revealing the deep meaning of this celebration.
In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the event acquires exceptional relevance, being an epochal event uniting the peoples of Russia and Turkmenistan. The timeliness of the event is also conveyed by the initiative of Turkmenistan, supported by the UN General Assembly, to proclaim 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The title of the concert is deeply symbolic. It is inspired by the fundamental work of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood". The book is dedicated to the life and work of the legendary storyteller Shukur-bagshy. The author writes about the creative power of art, overcoming hostility, sowing peace and love in hearts. This idea underlies the story of the musical competition of Shukur-bakhshi, in which he defeated his enemies, offering his art instead of a bloody battle.
It is important to note that Gurbanguly Malikgulyevich Berdimuhamedov has been an Honorary Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Arts since 2011, which testifies to the significance of his contribution to the development of international cultural cooperation.
Since 2015, the Moscow International Arts Festival “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmamedov has been held annually at the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts in the Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery. It is a significant event in the cultural life of Moscow.
It is gratifying to note that this project is developing dynamically, enriched with new ideas and plans, attracting new participants. For ten years, the arts festival has enjoyed a well-deserved reputation as one of the most striking cultural events dedicated to National Unity Day.
I am convinced that the music and painting of peoples will always remain the universal language of friendship, reminding us of the enduring value of trust and peace.
I sincerely wish all the participants and guests a wonderful evening and unforgettable impressions!"
Let us remind you that the concert will take place in the Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky on August 15.
