Andrea Pirlo, the 2006 World Champion with the Italian national team, has been appointed head coach of the "Dubai United" football club, which plays in the UAE Second League. The 46-year-old specialist has signed a two-year contract, the club's press service reported.

Pirlo's last job was at "Sampdoria", which he led from June 2023 to August 2024. Previously, the Italian specialist coached Turin's "Juventus", with whom he won the Italian Cup and Super Cup, as well as Turkish "Fatih Karagümrük".
As a player, Pirlo was a two-time Italian champion with "Milan", with whom he also won the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup twice, and won the Italian Cup and Super Cup. With "Juventus", he was a four-time Italian champion, twice the Italian Super Cup, and once the Italian Cup.
