The grand opening of the restored bridge at the intersection of Gokdepe and Keymir Ker avenues took place in the city of Arkadag, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The opening ceremony took place in a festive atmosphere with the participation of a large number of city residents. The bridge has a total length of 627 meters, a width of 29,5 meters and a height of 9 meters. The width of the roadway on each side is more than 12 meters, the dividing strip is 5 meters. Pedestrian zones and green spaces are arranged on both sides of the bridge.
Within the framework of the ceremony, balloons and white doves were released into the sky as symbols of peace, after which the festive ribbon was cut.
The opening of the new infrastructure was accompanied by symbolic events. A wedding procession passed along the new avenues, symbolizing the creation of a new family in the young city. At the same time, festively decorated cars announced the birth of a child in the Arkadag medical center.
The ceremony ended with performances by creative groups and artists along the illuminated avenues of the city.
