The International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs will open in Turkmenistan on September 1, the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth. This was reported by the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".
The grand opening ceremony of the new educational institution will be one of the central events of the holiday. For first-year students, this day will be especially significant – they will be the first students of the university.
As the publication reports, the acceptance of documents from applicants to higher education institutions in Turkmenistan has recently ended. Entrance exams began at the country's universities on July 30.
The new university is recruiting students for undergraduate programs in eight areas of study: architecture; construction engineering and technology; computer science and computing; mechanical engineering; agriculture, forestry and fisheries; veterinary science and animal science; economics and management; and jurisprudence.
It was previously reported that the new university would recruit 500 students.
