Russian fighter Umar Nurmagomedov took the leading position in the official ranking of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) among representatives of the lightest weight.
According to the updated version of the list, the Dagestani fighter shared the top of the ranking with American athlete Sean O'Malley. Before that, the 28-year-old Russian was in second place in the tournament table.
Another Russian representative Petr Yan held the bronze position, having defeated American Marcus McGee at the competition in the capital of the UAE last weekend. The current champion belt holder in this weight category is Georgian fighter Merab Dvalishvili.
Meanwhile, Russian Nikita Krylov lost two places in the light heavyweight tournament standings, moving to 12th place after an unsuccessful performance against Uzbek fighter Bogdan Guskov at a tournament in Abu Dhabi.
Umar Nurmagomedov has 18 victories and one defeat in mixed martial arts. Earlier this year, he first sought a UFC title fight, but lost to Dvalishvili by unanimous decision.
