By 2027, a solar power plant with a capacity of 1,9 GW will be built in Kyrgyzstan

The Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy has signed an investment agreement with the Vietnamese company Rox Energy Global on the construction of a 1,9 GW solar power plant in the Issyk-Kul Lake area. This was reported by the press service of the department.


The construction of the facility is planned to be completed by 2027. In terms of capacity, the new power plant will surpass the Toktogul Thermal Power Plant, currently the largest in the republic.
