As part of Turkmenistan's chairmanship in 2025 in the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA), an Economic Forum, the 20th meeting of the Governing Council, meetings of working groups on areas and other international events are scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in November-December.
This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister H. Geldymyradov at a Government meeting on July 25, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
In this regard, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, together with the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva and the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), are preparing for the “SPECA Days”, which are expected to be attended by high-ranking officials of the SPECA member countries, UNECE, leaders and representatives of other specialized structures of this organization, as well as international experts.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of consistent development of international cooperation to ensure the stability of the country's economy, instructing the Deputy Prime Minister to properly prepare for the planned international SPECA events.
