Yesterday, a conference dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, was held in the building of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the event was attended by heads and representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Belarus, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, and Turkmen students studying at universities in the Republic of Belarus.

In his speech, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Nazarguly Shagulyev emphasized that over the past period, Turkmenistan’s neutrality has become an effective tool for developing regional dialogue, laying the foundation for strengthening stability and security in Central Asia and beyond.
The UN Special Coordinator in the Republic of Belarus Rasul Bagirov assessed the contribution of Turkmenistan as a neutral state to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing the unique role of the policy of neutrality in promoting a culture of peace and trust at the global level.

Within the framework of the conference, videos about Turkmenistan were shown, songs were performed in the Turkmen language, and a photo exhibition was organized, the source notes.
