S7 Airlines has been brought to administrative responsibility for overbooking recorded in May of this year. The fine imposed was 40 thousand rubles (about 480 dollars – ed.), the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office reported, RIA Novosti reports.
As noted in the official Telegram channel of the supervisory agency, the carrier was punished for violating Part 2 of Article 14.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, which provides for liability for the repeated provision of services that do not meet the requirements of regulatory acts.
According to the case file, in May 2025, a group of passengers were denied check-in for a flight. The reason was that the number of reserved seats exceeded the actual capacity of the aircraft.
