The “Farap” sanatorium, located in the Lebap velayat on the right bank of the Amu Darya river, is popular with Turkmen residents throughout the year, but is especially crowded in the summer.
The sanatorium, designed for 250 vacationers, is equipped with advanced medical equipment and provides a high level of treatment and preventive measures.
The sanatorium has diagnostic, treatment and hydrotherapy departments, equipped in accordance with international standards. The diagnostic department is equipped with endoscopic, X-ray, ultrasound, electrocardiographic, clinical-biological and other modern equipment, reports "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Here they treat diseases of the musculoskeletal system, nervous, digestive, cardiovascular systems, gastrointestinal tract, liver and gall bladder, as well as diabetes, skin and gynecological diseases, and a number of other ailments.
The sanatorium's treatment department includes physiotherapy, massage, acupuncture and exercise therapy rooms. There is also a mud therapy clinic.
The sanatorium's special feature is the combination of medical and health procedures using mineral water rich in chemical elements. It has been established that water from the “Farap” springs contains more than thirty-two chemical elements. According to experts, the chemical and physical composition of the medicinal water is not inferior to the mineral waters of famous sanatoriums around the world. This increases the effectiveness of treatment and helps increase the number of vacationers.

The healing water is located at a depth of about 830-890 meters and enters the sanatorium under natural pressure at a temperature of 39 degrees. Maintaining the temperature of mineral water in the therapeutic baths at 37-38 degrees ensures that its composition is preserved in its original form and, therefore, its healing properties.
The sanatorium has rooms with hydrogen sulphide and iodine-bromine water, offers Charcot's shower, hydromassage and 18 types of specialized baths.

In the evenings, performances by artists from the Lebap state musical and drama theater named after Seyitnazar Seydi and creative groups from the Farap city cultural center are organized for vacationers.
