National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as part of an official visit to Azerbaijan, visited Fizuli International Airport, where he was met by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

At the airport, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was introduced to the projects of modern transport infrastructure facilities of the country - the international airports of Fizuli, Lachin and Zangilan. Fizuli Airport was put into operation in 2021, Lachin Airport - in 2022, and Zangilan Airport - in 2023.

All airports are equipped with modern terminals with the necessary conditions for passengers and related facilities, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
