- observe the validity periods of visas and other residence permits;
- promptly extend visas and permits before their expiration if a continuation of stay is planned;

- blocking the possibility of obtaining visas or other long-term permits;
- detention or other sanctions by U.S. immigration authorities.
To avoid these consequences, it is important to promptly resolve issues related to visas, work permits and other documents confirming your legal stay in the country."
The Turkmen diplomatic mission also reminded about the need to register with the consulate at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States, since this is an important procedure that:
- confirms your legal stay abroad;

- provides the opportunity to receive legal and organizational assistance in emergency situations;
- allows you to participate in elections and other official events.
The Embassy of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to its compatriots in the United States for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations, including US immigration laws.
