The first flight of "Turkmenistan" Airlines on the Ashgabat-Seoul route was solemnly welcomed at Incheon International Airport. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Republic of Korea, including Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Lee Hak-yeon, Director General of Aviation Policy of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Young-kook, Director General of Business Development of Incheon Airport Corporation Lee Sang-yeon, CEO and Chairman of Pacific Air Agency Park Jong-pil. Representatives of Korean companies and the media were also present.

From the Turkmen side, the event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Service "Türkmenhowaýollary" N. Kakabayev and employees of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea.
In his speech, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Seoul Begench Durdyev emphasized the current state of political, economic and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. A program of events in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and the proclamation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" was also presented.

The ceremony included a welcome ceremony for the first flight passengers in national Turkmen costumes, traditional food, and speeches by officials. The event participants ceremoniously cut the ribbon, officially opening the new passenger route.
It was previously reported that flights on this route are operated on Mondays. The plane departs from Ashgabat International Airport at 09:15, and the return flight from Incheon International Airport at 22:45.
