Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed a new commander of the republic's Air Force. This was reported by the Kazakh leader's press service.
“By order of the Head of State, Askar Gadylshievich Izbasov has been appointed Commander of the Air Force of the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the statement reads.
Also, by order of Tokayev, Bakytbek Sydykov was relieved of his post as Deputy Minister of Defense.
