From July 6 to 17, students of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov are undergoing an internship at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers.

The Turkmen group includes 1 teacher and 10 students from the Faculty of Hydromelioration and 1 teacher and 10 students from the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization, according to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The main goal of the internship is to consolidate students’ theoretical knowledge in practice, exchange best practices and strengthen friendly relations between universities.

Turkmen representatives got acquainted with the history and current activities of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, as well as its contribution to the development of agriculture in Uzbekistan.

An active participant in scientific and educational events and competitions held in Uzbekistan, scientist, professor of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers Ilkhom Begmatov and other teachers shared their practical experience in the field of irrigation, mechanization and engineering in agriculture.

Turkmen representatives visited scientific and educational institutions, agricultural and water management facilities, historical and cultural monuments of Tashkent. During the visit, they got acquainted with the modern digital system of Smart Solutions System LLC for organizing student training and monitoring its results. As part of the internship, Uzbek specialists spoke about the equipment used in the country's water management, "smart" technologies and water meters.

Let us remind that from June 25 to July 4, students of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers of the Republic of Uzbekistan completed an internship at the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov. Such exchange internships are carried out within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement signed between the two universities in 2018.
