Grain growers of Turkmenistan delivered 1 million 407 thousand tons of wheat to the state, which is clear evidence of the success of reforms in the country's agricultural sector.

The agro-industrial complex plays an important role in the national economy, being one of the strategic directions of the country's economic development. In this regard, great importance is attached to the development of agriculture in Turkmenistan, which has huge land resources and favorable soil and climatic conditions. This industry ensures food abundance in the country, and also contributes to increasing its export potential.

The country attaches particular importance at the state level to creating favorable conditions for the effective work of farmers. In accordance with the Resolution signed by the President of Turkmenistan, starting with the 2024 harvest, the state purchase price for wheat has been increased. Currently, there is a tendency to strengthen the role of the private sector in the agro-industrial complex.

As a result of the successful implementation of state programs to form a modern agricultural infrastructure and increase production capacity in the Fatherland, all conditions have been created for the collection, proper storage and processing of the grown wheat crop.

Particular importance is attached to selection work and effective cooperation with relevant scientific institutions. In this regard, the conducted scientific research, the constant improvement of the professional level of scientists have a positive impact on the development of the agricultural sector in the new historical period.

The establishment of the Scientific Research Institute of Grain Growing of the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan can be cited as the main factor in obtaining a high grain harvest this year: the department, which is engaged in improving the specialized industry using a scientific approach, has developed new varieties of wheat “Serdar”, “Arkadag” and “Pyragy” and introduced them into crop rotation.

Agricultural workers receive comprehensive support from the state, a clear example of which is the regular purchase of high-performance equipment.

Thus, the labor victory of the grain growers became further evidence of the success of the large-scale measures taken to maintain food abundance and ensure a prosperous and happy life for the people, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
