Mongolia is holding celebrations to mark National Flag Day on July 10. The holiday is held on the eve of the traditional national festival "Naadam", Xinhua reports.
A military parade is taking place on the capital's central square, involving more than 1400 servicemen and dozens of military vehicles. The ceremony is attended by the country's top officials.
Among the participants of the event are the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, the Speaker of Parliament Dashzegviin Amarbayasgalan and the newly appointed Prime Minister Gombojavin Zandanshatar.
Also present are members of the government, veterans of the armed forces and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Mongolia.
National Flag Day has been officially celebrated in Mongolia since 2009. The holiday is held annually on July 10 and precedes the country's main national festival, "Naadam", which includes traditional wrestling, archery and horse racing competitions.
