Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Serbia (with residence in Moscow) Esen Aydogdyev presented his credentials to President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic. The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Belgrade, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Aydogdyev conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the head of Serbia, as well as to the entire Serbian people.
Vucic, in turn, conveyed warm greetings to the leadership of Turkmenistan and expressed his best wishes to the Turkmen people.
The President of Serbia congratulated the Ambassador of Turkmenistan on his appointment to a high diplomatic post and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, issues of strengthening Turkmen-Serbian relations, expanding bilateral political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation were also discussed.
