Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to US President Donald Trump in connection with the devastating flooding in the state of Texas caused by heavy rains, which led to numerous casualties, injuries and destruction.
At this difficult moment, the head of the Turkmen state conveyed sincere words of empathy and sympathy to the families and friends of the deceased, and also wished a speedy recovery to the injured, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
Earlier, we reported that US President Donald Trump declared a state of emergency in Kerr County, Texas, due to devastating flooding.
As of July 7, 89 people have died as a result of the flooding on the Guadalupe River. It is noted that both adults and children are among the dead. Dozens are still missing.
The natural disaster caused serious damage to the region's infrastructure and led to the evacuation of local residents.
According to CNN, more than half a million people in the region are at risk of flooding.
