Today, the delegation of Turkmenistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, within the framework of its visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, held a meeting with the Acting Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan for Economic Affairs Abdul Ghani Baradar.
During the meeting, current issues in the field of political, diplomatic and trade and economic cooperation were discussed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The parties paid special attention to energy and transport and communications cooperation. The issues of construction of the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI), as well as power transmission lines and fiber-optic communication Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) were discussed.
