Turkmen chess player Saparmurat Atabayev became the winner of the international tournament "UzChess Cup-2025", which was held from June 18 to 28, 2025 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Dozens of chess players from different countries of the world took part in the prestigious competition. The tournament was organized in three groups of different levels: "Masters", "Challengers" and "Futures".
International chess player Saparmurat Atabayev, representing Turkmenistan, took part in the "Futures" group and demonstrated high results. He successfully passed all stages of the tournament and won first place in the overall standings. For his victory, the athlete was awarded a special tournament cup and a cash prize.
Atabaev's successful performance expanded his opportunities for participation in future international competitions. By decision of the tournament's organizing committee, he received the right to compete in a higher group - "Challengers".
