On August 15, the Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky will host a ceremonial Russian-Turkmen concert dedicated to two significant dates: the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The concert, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Sounds of Dutar Foundation, will be held as part of the XIX International Music Festival “Gathering Friends”, which unites the talents and traditions of different countries.
The concert was inspired by the book by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood”, dedicated to the singing and musical art of the Turkmen people.
Famous Turkmen academic and folk musicians, whose mastery has won the hearts of listeners in many countries around the world, will arrive in Moscow to participate in the concert. The concert will also feature art and book exhibitions presenting the wealth of Turkmen culture and art, according to a press release from the organizing committee of the Moscow International Arts Festival "Sounds of Dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov.
Let us remind that on August 21 of last year, the concert “He Truly Became the Mouth of Turkmenistan” was held with great success in the Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the founder of classical Turkmen literature, Magtymguly Fragi, which testifies to the strong cultural ties between the two peoples.
