National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the South Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. Jeong Won-ju.

As reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, the parties noted the long-term strategic nature of the Turkmen-Korean dialogue, based on mutual respect and support. Currently, large South Korean companies are actively working in various sectors of the Turkmen economy, including the oil and gas complex and the chemical industry.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the country's economic development programs, industrial reforms and favorable conditions for business created open up broad opportunities for expanding bilateral partnership. The effectiveness of cooperation between the state concern Türkmenhimiýa and the Daewoo company was especially noted.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people also reported on the work of Korean companies to create a medical cluster in the city of Arkadag. When implementing new projects in Turkmenistan, special attention is paid to production efficiency, compliance with environmental standards and the introduction of advanced scientific and technical achievements.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that Daewoo will fulfill its contractual obligations in a timely and high-quality manner.
