On June 11, Japanese Ambassador to Turkmenistan Sasaki Hiroshi visited specialized school No. 140 in Ashgabat. This was reported by the Embassy press service.
During the visit, the diplomat presented the school with books – a gift within the framework of the READ JAPAN PROJECT of the Nippon Foundation.
School No. 140 is the only school in Turkmenistan where Japanese is taught from the primary grades. More than 2 400 schoolchildren study here.
Earlier we reported that the Japanese Embassy in Ashgabat donated books to two Turkmen universities.
