1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov discussed cooperation in various fields with European Commissioner for International Partnership Jozef Sikela. 1. By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko was awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the 1st degree. The high state award was given for his great contribution to the development of manned cosmonautics and courage shown during a long-term space flight to the ISS. Oleg Kononenko was born in the city of Turkmenabat in 1964, where he graduated from school, and later worked at the aviation technical base of the Chardzhou United Air Detachment. He was awarded the title of Hero of Turkmenistan and the Altyn Aý gold medal, and was awarded the "Order of the President" for services to Turkmenistan.
