The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, based on an analysis of statistical data for 2024, notes an increase in the export of goods from Turkmenistan, a significant share of which is agricultural products.
Thus, the total volume of tomatoes sent to foreign countries amounted to 149 thousand tons. Compared to 2022, exports of greenhouse tomatoes increased by 43%. At the same time, 56% of the total volume of tomato exports was sent to the Russian Federation, about 28% to Kazakhstan and more than 11% to Kyrgyzstan.
In 2024, a wide range of confectionery products, packaged vegetables and fruits, as well as soft drinks were exported to neighboring countries. Lentils, onions, fruits and grapes were also exported.
All exporters of the country can use the services of the “Single Window for Export-Import Operations” portal, which was launched in Turkmenistan in 2024. Thus, the process of completing customs procedures will be accelerated and time costs will be reduced, the source notes.
