In 2024, more than 33 thousand residents of Turkmenistan visited the country. According to these data, Turkmenistan ranks 13th in terms of the number of citizens who visited Azerbaijan.
Russians lead this rating – 731 thousand tourists from Russia visited Azerbaijan in 2024.
Turkey was in second place with 426.2 thousand tourists, and India was in third place (243.5 thousand tourists).
The total number of foreign tourists who visited Azerbaijan in 2024 amounted to 2 million 626.8 thousand people, which is 26% more than in 2023, the source notes.
