President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the relevance of work on exploration and identification of new deposits of fresh groundwater in the country during the regular meeting of the Government, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

As Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov, who is in charge of the fuel and energy complex, reported, specialists from the state corporation “Turkmengeologiya” are currently conducting regional hydrogeological surveys using modern technologies.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of carrying out such work on a scientific basis and ordered, as necessary, to strengthen the material and technical base of the corporation.
