After defeating “Ahal” with a score of 3:0 in the final match of the Turkmenistan Cup, the “Arkadag” players staged a touching ceremony - a corridor of honor for their opponents, the Turkmenportal correspondent reports.
Despite the devastating score, the players of the losing team fought to the end and earned the respect of the winners. Therefore, during the award ceremony, Vladimir Bayramov’s players lined up in two lines on the field of the 10 thousand seat “Arkadag” stadium and greeted the “Ahal” players with applause.
This action once again demonstrated the high standards of fair play and respect for the opponent that the best teams in Turkmenistan adhere to. Such moments of sporting nobility are especially valuable for the popularization of football in the country.
