A resident of Turkmenistan, Tylla Shirdatova, won a scholarship for an undergraduate course in yoga under the AYUSH program and went to study in India.
Before leaving, she met with the Ambassador of India to Turkmenistan Vidhu Peethambaran Nair, reports the press service of the Embassy.
The Ministry of Government of India AYUSH provides international scholarships in education, research and propagation of traditional medicine systems in India. AYUSH is an acronym containing the names of alternative healthcare systems under the ministry: Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.
