The country's Wushu Cup ended in Turkmenistan on October 8, the winners of which will represent the country at the World Championships in the USA, which will be held in November of this year, writes the IIC.

About 150 athletes from all regions of the country took part in the competitions in Ashgabat. In the sanda fights, the first places were taken by athletes from Ashgabat, Ahal and Lebap velayats.

At present time, more than 2000 people practice wushu in Turkmenistan, trained by more than 40 experienced mentors. The Wushu Federation of Turkmenistan will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary next year.
