From October 3 to 24, an online course “Parliamentary Diplomacy” was held for deputies and specialists of the Mejlis Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.
The key lecturers were professors and experts from the London Academy of the “Global Diplomatic Forum”.
The course was organized by the US Agency for International Development with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, within the framework of the Governance Support Program.
The lectures covered significant topics of parliamentary diplomacy, in particular, such issues as an introduction to parliamentary diplomacy, definitions, forms and functions; international institutions of parliamentary diplomacy; opportunities and prospects of parliamentary diplomacy.
The US Agency for International Development will continue to cooperate with the Parliament of Turkmenistan, said the Agency's representative in Turkmenistan, Ms. Nino Nadiradze.
