Elevator collapsed in Beirut port

In the port of Beirut, an emergency grain elevator partially collapsed due to a fire. As reports mir24, the fire in the port elevators began on July 7 due to the release of gases that arose during the fermentation of grain, which remained in the building since the most powerful explosion in 2020. No one was injured in the collapse. For safety reasons, the authorities forbade anyone to approach the emergency buildings.

On August 4, 2020, a massive explosion occurred in the port of Beirut, in which died at least 280 people. The cause of the disaster was the detonation of 2750 tons of ammonium nitrate, which was stored in one of the warehouses in the port.
